Um, Guys….

Across the road on lower campus, a construction crew is building two new staff homes, to be ready by Christmas.

Well, it’s been pouring rain for the last half hour, and a truck has been stuck in the mud. The driver is just revving the engine higher and higher, hoping to spin the back tires out of the hole that is getting bigger and bigger by the second. I just don’t think that’s going to work.

*Update* They finally brought out a gaggle of guys to push the truck out. THAT worked.

Sorry I don’t have a picture of the festivities….

One time in Tanzania we had to stop on the road because a flat-bed container truck (no container on it though) had flipped over and no one could pass. They already had another lorry there to try to pull the flat-bed cab up by the time we got there and they then proceeded to hook up a chain from the back of the lorry to…the front axle of the flat-bed truck. Yeah, that didn’t work. The flat-bed rocked a bit back and forth trying to right itself but it only took about thirty seconds for the axle to just snap in half.

We went around it. I wonder if it’s still there, pushed off the main road, decomposing on the side. 🙂
